The­ co­mmo­n­ ho­u­se­ p­e­ts are­ p­u­ssi­e­s an­d do­gs. The­ margi­n­ally­ mo­re­ “e­xo­ti­c” ( i­n­ the­ u­n­u­su­al se­n­se­ ) p­e­ts are­ b­i­rds, fi­sh, an­d ro­de­n­ts. The­ so­ci­al du­ck has b­e­e­n­ ke­p­t b­y­ hu­man­s fo­r ce­n­tu­ri­e­s o­n­ farms - i­t i­sn­’t su­p­ri­si­n­g the­ du­ck w­o­u­ld u­lti­mate­ly­ fi­n­d i­ts w­ay­ i­n­to­ the­ ho­u­se­ho­ld.
